Conte Reasons Appoint Courtois Became Penalty Executor
Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte, revealed the reason for choosing Thibaut Curtois as a penalty shootout in the arena Community Shield counter Arsenal at Wembley on Sunday (06/08/2017). According to Conte, the goalkeeper included the best executor.

“Courtois is one of our best kickers,” said Conte quoted by SkySports.
“If a player shows his ability as a good penalty taker during practice, I will vote him on penalties.”
“However, do not forget also other than Courtois, Morata also failed in kicking a penalty.”
Conte also discussed the performance of Alvaro Morata and commented on the referee’s decision that he considered harming Chelsea. According to Conte, Morata still needs time to adapt to the Blues.
Morata is the most expensive recruits Chelsea are imported at a price of 70 million pounds from Real Madrid in the transfer market this summer. But he actually performed poorly when the Community Shield because it was unable to provide a significant threat to the Arsenal defense.
Conte also criticized some of Bobby Maddley’s refereeing decisions. The former Juventus coach criticized the courtman who gave yellow cards to Willian for being diving in the Arsenal penalty box.
According to Conte, William actually got a grip from Hector Bellerin so Chelsea should get a penalty.
Conte was also disappointed at the red card received by Pedro Rodriguez in the 80th minute. As a result, 82 seconds later after the expulsion, Arsenal can score goals equalizing penalty shoot-out.
